Not just any old mug...
Not just any mug, Seddon and Davison's wildlife collection of mugs are fine bone china and 100% British.
Each piece is made for the company in a pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; taking a blank British made mug and using traditional silk-screen printing techniques to make the decals of the designs, which are then applied by hand by expert lithographers, before drying and being kiln fired.
Seddon and Davison are determined to continue their support of British manufacturing for the multiple benefits it brings...
Lower your carbon footprint
Buying products made closer to home means you can significantly reduce the number of miles something has travelled. In turn, this reduces its carbon footprint.
Seddon and Davison also have their products made in much smaller quantities, discouraging waste within the supply chain.
Save essential skills
The creation of each mug requires a breadth of different skills and by purchasing a product that is made in the UK you are helping to save these skills.
Create job opportunities
2.7 million people work within manufacturing in the United Kingdom - meaning everyone that buys British is directly contributing to keeping someone in employment.
Promote UK craftsmanship
When you buy a product that is made in the UK you are helping to preserve craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. Not everyone is suited to the services industry and Seddon and Davison really believe we need to encourage and support these skills and crafts.
